Friends of Warmsworth & Edlington Lions Club

Huge congratulations to Kayleigh Hepworth of Warmsworth & Edlington Lions on become a successful Edlington Hero for her sterling work & dedication to Lions.

Edlington Festival 2018

Saturday 28th July beginning with a parade at 10:30 from Edlington Top Club to the former Pit Head.

11:00 sees a Service of Commemoration to the 1200 miners in World War One with 132 Miners never to return.

12:00 Noon the Edlington Festival begins at the Miners Welfare Grounds

Wear your "Miners Outfits" and hold your "Miners Lamps" high for the huge parade. Women can wear their suffragette sashes and bring along a banner for the parade.

Stalls, refreshments, entertainment and much more!

Frank Arrowsmith is co-ordinating the Miners section to the Edlington Festival Parade on Saturday 28th July, and he would like to hear from you.

Wear your miners outfits and hold your lamps High in a huge parade that will be led by our Edlington Hero's, the City Of Sheffield Pipes and Drums, Miners Banners from around the UK, The Maltby Miners Brass Band, The Chesterfield Chevrons Marching Band, Local Community Groups and Organisations, Edlington Brownies, Veterans Groups, The Desert Rats, The 3rd Battalion of Army Rifles, Edlington St John Ambulance and many many more.
