It is really rewarding to be told that our club, is now the “Fastest Growing Lions Club” in our District 105c, we currently have a total of 27 members!
Over the last 13yrs, Holderness Lions has played a large part in the communities of the local villages.
Hedon Christmas Lights switch on, Sproatley Christmas Lights switch on, Equipment bought for Hedon Youth Club, Equipment bought for 3C’s cafe in Keyingham, Diabetic screening with Lloyds Chemists, Farmers Bingo (Haven Arms), Tombola’s on market days (outside Hedon Post Office) Father Christmas including Sleigh around the local villages through out December (regardless of the weather), Bus Trip days out for older people of the communities, Bridlington Concert trips in December, Social Evenings at the British Legion, Biscuits delivered to the residential homes at christmas for the older people (who are unable to join us other times), Preston Show, Yorkshire Day, Decorate a tree Preston Church (in December), Take Part in the Parade on Remembrance Sunday,
Doncaster Sports Days (for vulnerable people), Youth Projects in local schools, Peace Posters, Young Musician of the year contest, Young Ambassador, Young Leaders in Service, MIAB, Environment (Locally and Internationally), World Sight Days collect used glasses, Community Projects, LEO’S group, Money donated to assist in making a safe garden for disabled children, Money donated to Preston Primary School for the Rock Challenge, Money donated to 2nd Hedon Guides, Equipment purchased for Sunshine House in HULL, Money donated for entertainment local support group,
